7/19/10 The film is progressing, however slowly, but we are now in the exciting animation stages of the film. Our first step is to record the voices for the characters which will be happening in the next two weeks. Then we have very talented animators ready to bring the comics to life most literally. We're nearly there! Also in good news, I am currently collaborating with a L.A. screenwriter on a pilot for Breathers and we will be shopping that around shortly. Expect an update comprised totally of "!" should something amazing happen. That is all. For now.

2/7/10 Happy Future to you all! I know it's been a while, there has been a lot going on. Including a little thought to more episodes of Breathers. That's right. I've had so many people ask if this would continue, that we are actually looking into the possibility of more episodes. I would very much like to, it just comes down to logistics and of course the root of all evil- money. But rest assured, if we can we will! As for the episode we have already shot- that is coming along swimmingly. We are fine tuning the edit and hope to have a screening in the very near future. So if you're in Chicago and want to see the film and give some feedback, let us know. We'll be sure to give you the info. So hold tight for more news and maybe a scene from the next episode we are currently writing. ~The Director |
12/31/09 It has been a hell of a year, and I am very grateful for everyone who worked hard on this project and brought it to life. The holidays have put us a bit behind our original ambitious schedule, but we will be heading into the new year at full steam. For now, enjoy our new trailer and my hope is to put up short clips as soon as we have them (which may mean not fully sound designed and without certain special effects, but you've been so patient and I feel that should be rewarded). 11/13/09 For all you city dwellers that cannot make it up to Evanston to get your fix or your shirt- Chicago Comics (Just north of Belmont on Clark St.) in the city will also be promoting Breathers! I'm dropping the stuff off today so go hit them up for it.
And remember - getting yourself some cool stuff helps the film. So check them out! The Director~

11/11/09 I hope you've all made a trip up to the Comix Revolution and picked up a copy of the comics. If you haven't, there's still time of course. Production is coming along so fast! Everyone is working very hard to make this film a huge success. We have all our locations locked, our actors cast- look for their bios in the Show and Tell section, and our hard working crew selected. As we anxiously count down the days till the shoot (only 15 more days!) expect a number of updates and some really exciting stuff. The Director~

10/15/09 One of our sponsors will be having a display in their store! Comix Revolution in Evanston will be be selling the comics, our buttons, and is now one of the only places you can buy a Breather's T-shirt! We will recieve a portion of every sale so come on up (after next week) and check out this awesome comic shop and support Breathers! Comix Revolution - online!

10/6/09 Caught a death of a cold the past week and a half, but in that time we finalized the T-shirt designs. There was a tie in the poll so we will be doing both designs- just let us know when you donate which design and what color shirt you would prefer (white or grey). We'll have pictures in about 10 days when the shirts arrive.

9/12/09 The postcards are in and we will begin shipping out rewards this week! We are also gearing up for some events in the meantime- I just got two breathers that I'm going to make awesome. We'll be posting a how-to video so that you can make your own breathers and join in on the fun. And of course share your pictures with us when you get out on the street with your breather! 8/31/09 Just ordered postcards to package in with the rewards- Vistaprint.com= Free! (Minus the shipping of course, but whatever) We are still looking for crew as well as investors at this point. So if you happen to be or know a business owner who loves film, loves comics, and wants to see their name or company name on the big screen, please let us know. 8/24/09 We have a bunch more of the website up and running- "Our Supporters" and "Contact Us" as well as "Updates" obviously. We will have images for you in the "Show and Tell" area in a little bit. Or if you have images to share, please send them to us with your name and a short description and we'll put them up for all to admire. (Comments are always welcome, please let us know what would enhance the Breather's experience on the website by emailing us at breathersmovie@gmail.com) Also notably, our facebook group has risen to over 200 members! That means you've been telling your friends and we really appreciate it.
